AV Pre-Wire & Whole-Home Audio in Herriman, Utah

New-construction pre-wire, whole-home audio, theater rooms and TV installation across Herriman and the southwest valley - timed around the build rather than after it.

Herriman is still building, which makes this one of the few places where most AV conversations happen at the right time - while the walls are open. That is a genuine advantage and it has a short shelf life.

The window runs from the end of framing to the start of insulation. Inside it, wire goes anywhere for very little money. Outside it, the same wire involves cutting drywall, patching, texturing and painting, and the labor to do that properly is often more than the system.

What goes in during that window does not have to be decided equipment. Wire to the rooms you might want, a conduit path to wherever a rack would live, and a run to the patio is enough. You can take years to decide what connects to it.

What a pre-wire should actually include

At minimum: speaker runs to the main living areas and the primary bedroom, a run to the patio, a network drop wherever a television will go, and a conduit from the main living wall down to wherever equipment will sit. The network drops matter more than people expect - a streaming device on a wired connection is simply more reliable than the same device on wireless, and in a new house the drop is nearly free.

Builder packages and what they leave out

Builder AV packages are usually thin, and the gaps are consistent: no conduit, no network drops behind the televisions, and nothing run to the outside. None of those is expensive to add during the build, and all of them are expensive afterwards. It is worth looking at what the package actually lists rather than what it is called, and adding the missing pieces before the walls close.

What we handle in Herriman

We match Herriman homeowners and business owners with installers who do this as their trade rather than as a sideline. If what you are describing is really electrical work — a new circuit, a panel, rewiring a room — that belongs to an electrician and we will say so rather than take the job.

Questions we get from Herriman

When exactly should we have AV wire run?

After framing is complete and before insulation and drywall. That is the window. Coordinating with the electrician while they are still on site is better still, so the two sets of runs do not fight each other.

Do we have to pick equipment before the pre-wire?

No. The wire and the conduit are what matter at that stage. You can decide what connects to them later - that is the point of doing it now.

Our builder offers an AV package. Is it enough?

Read what it lists rather than what it is called. The usual gaps are conduit, network drops behind the televisions, and anything run outside. Those are cheap to add during the build and expensive to add later.
